Accelerated Knife with Tuhon Uli Weidle

Topic

This seminar builds on the skills derived from the Flow of Knife Training Weekend and accelerates Pekiti Tirsia knife methods to the next level. We will train sparring (sports knife fighting) and self defence in situations, that demand for more progressive use of Pekiti Tirsia knife tactics.

For those who want get a thorough introduction to Pekiti Tirsia knife methods, we recommend the Flow of Knife seminar at the weekend before (Feb 25th–26th). Both seminars combine smoothly into a four days knife training camp.

Trainer

Uli Weidle is ranked Tuhon in the Pekiti Tirsia system. In the year 1996 Uli Weidle has been assigned by Grand Tuhon Gaje to represent him and the Pekiti Tirsia system in Europe and to be the Managing Director of the Pekiti Tirsia Europe organisation.

Uli started the adventures of martial arts as a young child and practised various Martial Arts systems for over 40 years. The last 20 years he's been focusing on Pekiti Tirsia system, whereof the last 15 years he was travelling more then 25 times to Philippines studying the culture and training as a direct personal student of the Pekiti Tirsia heir and supreme grandmaster Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje.
In the year 2011 Grand Tuhon Gaje awarded Uli with the Rank Tuhon in the Pekiti Tirsia system. This is the highest rank ever given outside the Philippines to a Pekiti Tirsia practitioner. Uli is the only Tuhon of Pekiti Tirsia in Europe.

Grand Tuhon Gaje provided opportunity for Tuhon Uli to train with other weapon experts in the Philippines. In his journeys to the Philippines, Tuhon Uli Weidle has been active as a close quarter combat trainer for the prestigious Force Recon unit of the Filipino Marines, the Intelligence Group of the Philippine National Police and the Security Group of the President of the Philippines.

In Europe, Uli Weidle is the Training Consultant for Military Commando and Police SWAT / Task Forces from various countries. He is teaching Self-defence, Fitness & Hilot to civilians of all ages. He is also conducting Leadership Development and Conflict Solutions Training Program for the Upper Managements, Executives & the CEO's of International Companies.

What to bring
mandatory: * two wooden non flexible training knives (light weight, dull, and not pointy!)
  * wrestling shoes or antiskid socks (with non colouring rubber nub)
recommended: * forearm protector
  * hand protection (hockey glove)
  * ellbow protector
  * fencing helmet
  * groin protection
Participants

This seminar requires experience in basic knife fighting. Attending the Flow of Knife seminar is recommended. The training is physically intense. General good physical and mental health is necessity. It is generally advised to ask a doctor for advice if you are in shape to attend the seminar.

Language Seminar language is English. German translation can be provided. Usually French and Italian language speaking people are present who can assist if there are translation needs. If you have special requests (other languages or sign language) let us know early and we can arrange for you.
Fees

Members: Members of the Pekiti Tirsia Europe organisation are free to decide, how much they want to contribute to the seminar. The suggested contribution is 60 Euro per day.

Non Members: The workshop fee is 70 Euro per day.

Overnight stay

It is possible to sleep on the padded area in the Martial Arts Center without extra charge.
